About Clevername

We keep AI agents inside their mandate.

Clevername is a full-lifecycle agent-governance platform — and the company behind it. Here is what we build, and why we built it.

Why we built it

Agents ship faster than anyone can govern them.

Every AI agent starts with good intentions. Then something goes wrong — and the frameworks that make agents capable were never built to keep them inside the lines. Clevername closes that gap: governance that travels with every call, for the entire life of the agent.

HijackedA hidden instruction slips into the agent's input and redirects it.
Off-scriptIt calls a tool it was never approved to touch.
HallucinatingIt states a made-up fact that a customer trusts.
DriftingAn approved tool quietly starts firing 100× its normal volume.
How the business works

A software business, not a compute reseller.

Clevername is delivered entirely over the internet as a hosted service — a digital-native business in the most literal sense. Revenue comes from teams, not from marking up tokens.

01Free for individualsIndividual developers use Clevername at no cost. They bring their own provider keys, so a free account costs us almost nothing to run.
02Paid for teamsTeams and enterprises pay a recurring subscription for shared governance policy, multi-agent audit, approvals, drift enforcement, and compliance reporting.
03BYOK, alwaysClevername never sells or resells LLM compute. Customers bring their own keys — we are paid for governance and oversight, not for tokens.

Alexander Floyd

Founder

Alexander Floyd is the founder of Clevername. He started building the platform after watching teams put AI agents into production with no reliable way to know what those agents were doing — or to stop one when it drifted off-script.

Clevername is his answer: governance that travels with every agent call, so a single integration enforces what an agent is allowed to do, scans its traffic for injections and leaked secrets, fact-checks its claims, and keeps a tamper-evident record of everything it did.

He also operates Floyd Media LLC, the company behind Clevername.
